The Champions League Quarterfinal 2nd leg match up between Barcelona and Arsenal will take place at the Estadio Camp Nou on Tuesday 6th April 2010, kick-off set for 19:45 GMT. Barcelona rescued a 2-2 draw against the Gunners in the Emirates Stadium, despite leading 2-0. Barcelona showed a high-quality football in the first 20 minutes of their clash against Wenger’s lads, taking control of the wings and the center of the field in attack. But Almunia and the Arsenal defense were resistant and an ineffective Zlatan Ibrahimovic was incapable of giving first-half lead to Barca.

The score line stayed 0-0 at half-time however the second half began clearly in favor of Barcelona who scored two quick goals through a more precise Ibrahimovic. For a while Pep Guardiola had reasons to believe that his men were going to have a somewhat comfortable rematch at the Camp Nou, but with a goal from Theo Walcott first followed by Cesc Fabregas being awarded a penalty and scoring from the spot and then Carles Puyol being sent off, the game ended 2-2 shocking the Barca fans.
Barcelona reports that Gerard Pique will not be in defense and injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be missed. Skipper Carles Puyol received a red card and is out too.

The biggest blow for the Gunners is the exit of Cesc Fabregas who fractured a bone in his leg. Defender Gallas is also likely to watch the game from the stands.

For Arsenal the question is how much the last gasp victory against Wolves took out of this young side. Arsene Wenger praised Theo Walcott as his main weapon against the Catalans. That could imply that Wenger will be looking to attack using the wings more than at the Emirates. Walcott is certain to start the match and his fast pace on the right flank could spell trouble for Barca defenders if he plays as he did against the Wolves.

Quite possibly Pep Guardiola will use the traditional 4-3-3 design against Arsenal, rather than the more rare 4-2-3-1. There are some interesting problems facing such an approach. The latter 4-2-3-1 formation will have put Abidal and Alves being left alone to deal with the fast pace of Arsenal attacking the flanks. On the other hand Lionel Messi, who had an average match by his standard in the first leg, will be looking to show his attacking skills more effectively against Arsenal playing at home this time around.
